Overview

What is the Demand Intelligence Analysis?

Every year, enterprise research teams, analytics buyers, and agencies spend millions sourcing third-party data — with no reliable way to know if any of it is worth what they paid. No pricing benchmark, no quality rating, no established valuation standard for data. Spartera was built by people who lived that problem firsthand. We operate the only analytics marketplace that captures buyer search behavior at the use-case level: when a buyer searches for a specific insight and comes up empty, we record that gap. When we work with you, we bring those live signals directly to your schema — identifying which use cases have real demand, what each is worth, who would buy them, who else is selling similar data, and handing you working SQL to build immediately. Every engagement ends with your first product live on marketplace.spartera.com and queryable by real buyers.

Live marketplace signals — actual searches, impressions, clicks, and conversions, not surveys or historical comps

Product strategy — which analytics, visualizations, and data feed formats are most valuable to build and prioritize

Revenue & pricing strategy — recommended price points and bottom-up revenue projections per confirmed use case

Go-to-market strategy — who would buy each product and where to reach them

Competitive intelligence — which other companies have similar data and how to stay differentiated

Initial SQL code — starter queries per confirmed use case, validated against your schema

Schema-validated use cases — every opportunity confirmed against your actual tables before it’s included

First product live before the engagement closes — deployed, queryable, and available to real buyers

The Challenge

Why Start Here

The hardest part of data monetization isn’t building the API. It’s knowing what buyers will actually pay for, what to charge, who to sell to, and who else is selling the same thing. We answer all of it.

Live signals, not surveys

The data valuation industry runs on surveys and historical comparables. We run on live marketplace data — searches buyers typed, products they clicked, purchases they completed. Spartera sees searches, impressions, clicks, and conversions in real time. That signal doesn’t lie, and no competitor has it.

Strategy, not just a report

You leave with a product strategy, a pricing model, a go-to-market plan, and a competitive brief — not just a list of use cases. Every deliverable is designed to be actioned immediately, not handed to a committee.

You leave with something deployed

Unlike every other data valuation engagement on the market, this one ends with a live, queryable product — not a report, not a roadmap, not a strategy deck you still have to implement yourself. Your first product is available to buyers before the engagement closes.

You control distribution from day one

Your live marketplace listing means you can immediately drive your own customers, partners, and contacts to your product. You don’t need to wait for our marketplace audience to find you — seed your own demand first. Most clients see their first buyer engagement from their existing network within weeks of go-live.

Our Approach

What You Receive

Six concrete deliverables — not a slide deck of possibilities

Product Strategy

Which analytics, visualizations, and data feed formats are most valuable to build — and in which order. Ranked by demand signal strength so you know exactly what to prioritize.

  • Confirmed use cases validated against your schema
  • Format recommendations — API, visualization, or data feed
  • Demand volume and trend per use case
  • Product roadmap prioritization by revenue potential

Revenue & Pricing Strategy

Bottom-up revenue estimates and recommended price points for each confirmed use case, grounded in comparable marketplace transaction data — not top-down dataset estimates.

  • Recommended price per query for each use case
  • Estimated monthly query volume based on demand signal
  • Monthly and annual revenue projection per use case
  • Total portfolio revenue estimate across all confirmed use cases

Go-to-Market Strategy

Who would buy each of your confirmed products and where to find them — specific buyer personas, industries, and channels most likely to convert.

  • Buyer persona profile per use case
  • Industry and company-type targeting
  • Recommended outreach and distribution channels
  • Initial ICP (ideal customer profile) for your data products

Competitive Intelligence Brief

Which other companies have similar data, how your data compares, and what you can do to stay ahead — so you can price and position with confidence.

  • Competitive provider landscape for your data category
  • Differentiation analysis — where your data is stronger
  • Pricing positioning relative to comparable products
  • Strategic recommendations to maintain competitive advantage

Initial SQL Code

Starter SQL queries for each confirmed use case, validated against your actual schema. Hand this to your data engineer to begin building immediately — no translation layer, no ambiguity.

  • SQL query per confirmed use case
  • Parameter definitions (filterable dimensions)
  • Output schema and column documentation
  • Performance notes and index recommendations

Live Marketplace Listing

We configure your seller account, set up your managed endpoint, and list your first product on marketplace.spartera.com so buyers can discover and purchase immediately.

  • Spartera seller account configured
  • Managed API endpoint live and queryable
  • First product listed with documentation and pricing
  • Buyer-facing product description written

What to Expect

What to Expect

Based on engagements with data companies at similar stages. Individual results vary based on data quality, market fit, and your own distribution effort.

1

Clarity on what to build — and what to skip

Most data companies have more sellable assets than they realize — and some they shouldn’t lead with. The product strategy ranks your confirmed use cases by demand signal strength so you know exactly what to build first and what to deprioritize.

2

A live, queryable product before the engagement ends

Not a roadmap. Not a deck of recommendations you still have to implement. An actual product on marketplace.spartera.com — queryable by buyers and available to purchase — before you’ve fully reviewed the analysis report.

3

Distribution you own from day one — marketplace as the upside

Your live listing means you can drive your own customers, partners, and contacts to your product immediately. Most clients see first buyer engagements from their existing network within weeks. Spartera’s growing marketplace audience is additive — not a prerequisite for your first dollar of revenue.

FAQs

Common Questions

Will buyers actually find and purchase my products after they’re listed?

We don’t promise immediate transactions — and anyone who does is misleading you. What we do deliver: a live, queryable product you can promote to your own customers and partners immediately. Most clients see their first buyer engagement from their existing network within 2–4 weeks of go-live — before Spartera’s marketplace audience even finds them. Marketplace discovery grows over time as more buyers use the platform. The DIA gives you the infrastructure to monetize through your own network now, and through ours as it scales.

What data formats and cloud providers do you support?

We support GCP (BigQuery), AWS (Redshift, S3), Snowflake, and standard SQL-compatible databases. If your data is off-cloud, ask about our migration support add-on.

Do you need access to our raw data?

No. We work from your data dictionary or schema — table names, column names, data types. Raw data never leaves your environment. That’s core to how Spartera’s zero-data-movement architecture works.

Do I need technical staff available during the engagement?

Yes — we need someone who understands your data and can provision read-only credentials. That’s typically a data engineer or technical co-founder. We handle everything else.

What if I already have an API or existing data products?

That shortens setup time. We can work with your existing API or connect directly to your database. The demand analysis, strategy work, and marketplace listing all still apply.

How is this different from a standard data valuation or consulting engagement?

Every other data valuation firm — whether it’s a boutique like Data Valuation Partners, a collateral-focused platform like Gulp Data, or a Big 4 team like Deloitte or EY — works top-down from surveys, historical comparables, or dataset-level estimates. The output is a report for a board, a lender, or an M&A advisor. Spartera works bottom-up from live buyer demand: what buyers in our marketplace searched for, didn’t find, and would pay for. We deliver product strategy, pricing, GTM, competitive intelligence, initial SQL, and a live listing — not just a number on a page.

What’s the difference between this and the full Data-to-Revenue Strategy?

The Demand Intelligence Analysis covers your first product in 10 business days — fast, fixed scope, confirmed use cases, and all six deliverables. The Data-to-Revenue Strategy covers your entire data portfolio, builds a full multi-product pricing architecture, designs your RevOps stack, and produces a comprehensive launch plan. Many clients start with the DIA and upgrade once they’ve seen their first product generate revenue.
